VIPS

Are you looking for a way to help out FVRR during the in 2024/25 school year?
FVRR will need several parent volunteers throughout the school year.
To volunteer for many of FVRRs opportunities, parents will need to be “VIPS”.

What is VIPS:

VIPS (Volunteers in Public Schools) is a program of the Huntington Beach Union High School District. It is exciting adult involvement in education that has developed nationwide. It is involvement where it really counts. All volunteers at FVHS are required to fill out the online volunteer (VIPS) application each school year.

VIPS is for volunteers who are chaperones, volunteer coaches, drivers, in a classroom on a regular basis or who have frequent or prolonged contact with students.

4 Steps to be VIPS:

  1. Fill out the online VIPS application at the link below. This is MANDATORY FOR ALL VOLUNTEERS. The VIPS application needs to be filled out every school year.

  2. Provide a current negative TB test result OR see our school nurse for a TB Risk Assessment. This is for volunteers who will have frequent or prolonged contact with students. This step needs to be done every 4 years. Online TB Assessment

  3. Get fingerprinted and cleared through the district. If you require fingerprinting, Chelsea Martell the FVHS CRC (Community Resource Coordinator) will email you the form after you complete the online VIPS application. This step only needs to be done once.

  4. For all volunteers who drive students you need to fill out a Volunteer Driver Form. This is mandatory and required for all volunteer drivers. This step needs to be done every school year.
